… And I love Ethiopian coffee after having a giant Ethiopian feast.
I wasn’t ever able to film an Ethiopian coffee ceremony at the Smart Village in Nairobi, but I finally had a chance to video a ceremony at a small Ethiopian restaurant in Phoenix, Arizona.
Enjoy this quick video and then get yourself a cup of coffee!

Alas, I cannot do coffee as it brings out the rage in me (can’t figure out why for the life of me!), but I’m drooling over your food photos! Unfortunately my husband and I aren’t planning to hit Africa on our upcoming RTW trip, so your videos will have to tide us over until we finally make it there.
Really love what you’re doing here; one of the things I’m most looking forward to is experiencing some of the wonderful street food you’ve highlighted on Migrationology!

Awesome to hear that Steph and thanks for following along. Coffee is definitely not for everyone, but this Ethiopian coffee ceremony would be cool to see even if you didn’t like coffee! Glad to hear you are planning a RTW trip soon, hope you will have an awesome time! Where are you planning to visit?

We have a (very ambitious, but also completely tentative) itinerary posted on our site, which you can check out here: http://www.20yearshence.com/destinations/
(Also, we’re still getting our site off the ground, so please be patient with us! 🙂 )
Essentially, we want to spend a considerable chunk of our time in Japan, China and South East Asia, and then move on to Sri Lanka, Nepal & India. From there we’d like to move to Turkey and then Eastern/Western Europe, but of course that all depends on how far our travel funds will stretch! We really want to take our time, so I think that in the end if we don’t make it out of Asia, we’d be ok with that, but we’ll just have to see what the world has in store for us!
Given that we intend to start our trip in the east and work west, we’ve really been finding your site invaluable. It’s not only super inspiring, but you have a lot of really useful information to help rookies to Asia (and Africa!) out!
