Seafood Overboard in Zanzibar

As an island surrounded by the Indian Ocean, Zanzibar has a wonderful selection of fresh seafood to offer those who wish to indulge.

Visiting the Stone Town nightly food market is one of my favorite things to do in Zanzibar. There are many street stalls set up with huge amounts of seafood all skewered and partially cooked.

You choose your sticks and they grill them a few more minutes, load everything onto a plate and douse it in chili sauce!
