Bangkok is known for its over abundance of motor vehicles which inevitably leads to heavy traffic jams.
Every time I return to Bangkok after being away on a trip, I am surprised again and again by the wildly colorful taxis. Unlike cities where cars are all brown, white or grey, Bangkok’s fleet is quite modern and many taxis are either pink, bright orange, or green and yellow.

It’s been a while since I been to BKK (2006). From what I remember, I don’t remember people honking like idiots at anything & everything that moves (they did in Panama City, Panama).
Can you confirm?

You’re right Dana, Thais use their horn quite seldom unless they really need to.

Without a doubt, there is no shortage of traffic in Bangkok to take some photos! 🙂

My parents have been to Bangkok a couple of years ago and still now the first thing they mention when recalling the trip is the city’s hectic traffic!

Yes Angela, the traffic can drive one a bit crazy sometimes in Bangkok!

Wow! I’m in the Philippines and the traffic is no where near that bright. The only taxis we have are yellow and white, boring compared to the picture above.

Beautiful shot. I do miss living in a city where it’s easy to catch a taxi.

It’s never hard to find a taxi in Bangkok. Ah I can’t wait to get back there in two months time! 🙂

Yah, in my experience I think it’s one of the easiest places to catch a taxi!
