Kolkata, India, is such an interesting city, and while there are a number of worthy attractions to visit, there was nothing more appealing to me than exploring the Kolkata street food.

This video is from Deckers Lane (now known as James Hickey Sarani), a street that delivers some delicious lunchtime cuisine in a busy atmosphere!

Hey mark. nice video. I was wondering. During your travels, how often do you encounter stomach problems from 3rd world food? Or by now is your stomach so acclimated that you no longer have any problems. Do you EVER have any problems with food from countries you’ve never visited? This is one of my biggest fears traveling to a country such as India. thx for your videos.

Hey, I rarely have stomach problems other than occasional diarrhea (but not really anything serious or long lasting). Other than that, my stomach is pretty good and I think it’s pretty accustomed to many different foods! I think it’s about taking time and not eating too much local street food too fast.

I guess some people are blesses with iron stomachs. Anyways, I noticed that you’ve avoided europe for the most part in your travels. Is it because you are more interested in southeast asia at the moment or are you avoiding europe because it is more expensive with uneven euro/dollar exchange rates? By the way, you’re really an inspiration for showing that world travel is possible w/o a trust fund. thx!

Hey, thanks for the comment! Yah, it’s not that I don’t want to visit, partly I don’t have the money travel Europe (for long), and partly I just thoroughly enjoy Asia still. I hope in the coming years to take a trip through Europe!
